Are you really more likely to get sick when the seasons change? Kinda sorta. MAYBE! If we’re talking about colds and other upper respiratory infections, doctors say infection rates are fairly consistent throughout the year. But there are small upticks in cold and flu contagions in fall, winter, and spring — when the weather is chillier.
Allergies definitely do rear their ugly heads when the seasons change because different pollens and other allergens are wafting through the air. So as spring melts into summer, you might feel crummy more often because of all the flower pollen you come into contact with. As fall eases into winter, moldering leaves and dusty offices provide new allergy challenges. In addition, the dropping temperature proves friendlier for cold and flu viruses floating through the air. So during our two big seasonal shifts from hot to cold and back again, it seems like everyone has the sniffles!
Seasonal allergies are extremely common among people today. There is no real way to escape it but only to adjust. Carry around to-go tissues some lipbalm and you should be good to go! As always staying hydrated helps flush any toxins out.
As for your home, we recommended at least two cleanings each year. Steam Cleaning your carpets and upholstery helps remove any dead skin or pollen stick in the fabric.

Do you ever wonder if you need to clean your Vacuum Cleaner? 🤔
The answer is….yes
Dumping the trash out of your vacuum is just the start not the end of the cleaning process and neither is wiping down the device. It’s actually the beginning of a multi-step process that can help you keep your home cleaner and healthy!
After Every Use: Clean the Brushes and Bristles by removing trapped hair and lint that might be caught in the vacuum.
After Every Few Uses: Empty the Vacuum Canister and check to make sure there are no blockages.
About Once a Month: Check and Soak the Filters with warm water and a mild detergent if possible buy a new filter
Many just don’t want to deal with it, some feel like it’s too cold to get work done and some people just become hermits.
However, there are actually several good reasons why consumers and property managers should have their carpets cleaned during the winter months!!
Take the next few things into consideration!
Health: We are indoors much more during the winter months with less fresh air in facilities. Soiled carpets can have allergens and pollutants that negatively impact indoor air quality for a fact.
Harder to clean: The more soil buildup in carpet, the harder it is to remove, and some spots may become stains, making them very difficult not impossible to remove.
Damage to the carpet: Related to this, the longer soiling remains in the carpet, the more damage it can do to carpet fibers. Think of tiny rocks and bits of dirt grinding away at the carpet fibers.
Faster drying: The winter months are often the driest time of the year; because of this, carpets often dry faster, opening areas to foot traffic sooner and there is less chance that mold or mildew will develop. Drying time can be cut IN HALF!!!
