Our Key Personnel


Josh Lawson

Josh was born in Montgomery County in 1988 but grew up and has lived in Frederick for the past 22 years. He graduated from Urbana in 2006 then on to business management courses at the University of Maryland. At 18 years of age he started working and has continued to grow, eventually gaining Spectrum and pursuing a career in small business ownership.

He invests all of his efforts and time into his work, which is evident with how much Spectrum has grown over the past few years. He is always looking for new and innovative ways to grow the company while also making customers happier.

Spectrum has grown tremendously, taking on larger projects this year more than ever and helping the residents with the devastating summer flood of 2018 in Downtown Frederick.

He cares also for his community and enjoys participating in local fundraising events and takes great pride in Frederick which he will forever call it his home!

In his spare time, Josh enjoys traveling with his wife Rachel. While traveling overseas they like to take in the sights and smells but also Josh enjoys dipping his hand into photography and enjoys shooting different landscapes or whatever may spark his imagination.  He has a keen eye for detail and direction in life! He not only makes an excellent “boss,”  Josh makes things enjoyable, compassionate when needed, stern and to the point when the time calls.

Ryan Christopher

The son of Jim and Diane Christopher, Ryan grew up helping his dad in the industry. Ryan has years of experience and is very knowledgeable in this line of work. He takes pride in his work and enjoys helping customers throughout all stages of the project. He keeps the “family feel” alive in Spectrum with his beautiful wife Samantha and his adorable daughter Cam.

Other than working, Ryan enjoys spending time with his parents at their home in South Carolina and relaxing when possible on the weekends!  Most importantly, he values spending time with his own family in Frederick.

Rachel Lawson

Rachel grew up in Taylorsville, Maryland and has resided most of her life in Carroll County. She graduated from South Carroll in 2006 and moved briefly with her family to North Carolina where she attended business schooling at ECU. She now lives with her husband Josh, Molly her dog, and kitty.

Spectrum has become a huge part in her life and she enjoys watching it grow. You will see her behind the scenes or at the job site. Rachel brings her warm, generous heart to the table at Spectrum and it shows when she interacts with the clients.

In her spare time, she likes to travel, relax at the beach or spend time with her father in North Carolina. She also enjoys walking her dog Molly in Downtown Frederick when it’s not too cold! Cooking is great when she has the time for it.

Moises Madrid 

Moises joined Spectrum Restoration in 2017.  As a crew chief, he ensures that every job his team does for Spectrum Carpet & Restoration exceeds
our standards and most of all, the customer’s expectations. Moises is committed to executing our services with the highest degree of professionalism possible. He has provided service to
over 250 homes and businesses, making him a highly valued employee.

In his spare times, Moises enjoys riding around on a warm Sunday afternoon in his pickup truck with his lovely wife of many years. He also enjoys hiking with his young son and a trip to Honduras when he can.

Roland Thompson

Starting his own flooring business in 1972 after he graduated Trade School, Roland Thompson swiftly found success. He’s been on television shows such as Extreme Home Makeover and Restaurant Impossible. Roland is passionate about his flooring as he is a co-op owner of a local carpet mill.

Roland is now semi-retired and does all of  Spectrums carpet inspections repairs and installs.


Brandon Jackson

Brandon Jackson, known by others as “Jackson,”  has a history in the carpet business and enjoys working for Spectrum. His uncles have been in the DMV area for over 30 plus years from carpet installation, but likes to stay closer to the Frederick area, so Spectrum was a great fit.

Jackson is a car enthusiast who enjoys working on his own car or spending time with his son and family.


Mike Phelps

Mike was introduced to the carpet cleaning and disaster restoration industry in 1999 through his wife’s father and his own company.  He quickly found that this was a fulfilling industry, providing services to customers in need when disaster strikes.

After working as an employee at his father in law’s company, he decided to start out on his own. He managed two companies for 13 years until 2013. After that, management and business development for a local disaster restoration company for about 3 and a half years in which he learned even more. Finally, he found his way back into Carpet Cleaning for Spectrum beginning of 2017 and now helps Spectrum have greener carpet cleaning while pursuing other business opportunities.

Every day he looks forward to new opportunities while building a team willing to fight and devote themselves to our customers.
